At the Global RLI Awards 2024, one of the world’s most prestigious accolades in the retail and leisure industry, Fiba Commercial Properties (Fiba CP) achieved remarkable success in London. Managing and leasing over 800,000 m² of commercial real estate projects across Turkey, Europe, and the Far East, Fiba CP continues to stand out globally with its achievements.
At this year’s awards, where leading projects from Asia, Europe, and the Middle East competed, İnegöl Shopping Mall won the “Highly Commended” prize in the International Shopping Centre Renovation category, marking another milestone on the international stage. In addition, Downtown Bursa Life and Entertainment Center was recognized in the International Retail and Leisure Destination category, earning significant attention worldwide.
Fiba CP Leaves Its Mark on the Global RLI Awards
The Global RLI Awards 2024 once again highlighted Fiba CP’s global standing. Among the finalists that included world-renowned architect Renzo Piano, İnegöl Shopping Mall received the Highly Commended Award in the International Shopping Centre Renovation category, earning international acclaim. Meanwhile, Downtown Bursa Life and Entertainment Center, managed and leased by Fiba CP, won in the International Retail and Leisure Destination category. These achievements reaffirm Fiba CP’s reputation as a company delivering sustainability-focused and innovative projects in the global arena.
Jury Commendation for İnegöl Shopping Mall
The Global RLI Awards 2024 jury emphasized “High Efficiency” when evaluating İnegöl Shopping Mall. They noted that the project exemplified sustainability and productivity through its contribution to the city center, increased visitor numbers, higher retailer turnover, functional and efficient architecture, and strong tenant-brand mix.
A Strong Transformation Story Behind Fiba CP’s Success
İnegöl Shopping Mall stood out with its innovative and sustainable solutions during the renovation process. As part of the “Transformation Story Project,” approximately two tons of wooden ceiling material were repurposed inside the mall. Benches were crafted from this material for visitors, while an additional 300 kilograms of recycled natural wood was used to create a children’s play area.
These efforts prevented the cutting of around 80 trees, reflecting a clear eco-friendly approach. This sustainable strategy elevated İnegöl Shopping Mall beyond meeting consumer expectations, positioning it as a responsible and exemplary project in the industry.
