Fiba Commercial Properties, one of Türkiye’s leading commercial real estate investors, has operated as a Fiba Group company since 1998. With projects totaling more than 800,000 square meters of leasable area across Türkiye, Europe, and the Far East, Fiba CP stands out as a pioneering investor in commercial real estate and is regarded as a global benchmark, with a comprehensive portfolio of 11 shopping malls, 4 office buildings, 5 residential complexes, 3 hotels, and 2 cinema complexes.

 

Fiba CP invests in shopping malls, offices, residences, hotels, and cinemas with the aim of increasing the efficiency and performance of commercial real estate. In these same sectors, it also provides business development, architectural design, construction management, leasing, project and asset management, integrated facility management, and marketing services.

Fiba CP continued its strategic investments in Moldova by breaking ground on Moldova Life Center.

2026

Gourmet Garden, which redefines dining areas as living spaces that encourage social interaction, opened at Star Mall in China.

2025

Kosovo became the fifth country in which Fiba CP operates.

2022

Select Residence, a three-building complex, opened in central Bucharest.

2020

Pallady Residence, comprising two nine-story buildings, opened in Romania.

2019

Courtyard by Marriott opened in Moldova, offering a business-oriented hotel experience within a mixed-use development.

Malldova Center Office opened in Moldova, part of a mixed-use development comprising a shopping mall, offices, and a hotel.

Fiba CP took over the management of M1 Konya Mall.

2019

Gebze Center became Fiba CP’s first project under its mall leasing and management services.

Fiba CP took over the management of M1 Adana Mall.

InCity Residence opened in Romania.

İnegöl Mall joined Fiba CP’s investment portfolio. The expansion and renovation of M1 Adana Mall was completed.

Plaza Romania Office opened as the first office building in Bucharest integrated with a shopping mall.

The Fiba Ticari Gayrimenkul brand was repositioned as Fiba Commercial Properties.

The 13-story Ofishane office building, with garden terraces on every floor, opened in Kağıthane.

2012

Star Mall, the largest Turkish investment in China, opened in Shenyang.

Shopping Malldova opened in Moldova.

2007

Anchor Plaza Office, offering a modern workplace experience with flexible office solutions and facility management services, opened in Romania.

2005

Movieplex Cinemas opened in Romania.

2004

Plaza Romania, the second shopping mall in Romania, opened.

The Hollywood Multiplex cinema complex opened in Romania.

Bucuresti Mall opened in Romania.

Murat Özyeğin

He began his career in 1998 as a Financial Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at the New York office of the investment bank Bear Stearns & Co. In 2000, he transferred to the firm’s London office as a Senior Analyst.

In 2003, he returned to Türkiye and took an active role in the management of the family companies. He established the Strategic Planning and Business Development departments at Finansbank and Fiba Holding.

Before becoming Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Fiba Group in 2019, he served as a member of its Board of Directors. He was Vice Chairman of the Board of Nexent Bank, the Group’s largest financial services company, and Chairman of the Board of all of its non-financial companies.

In addition to his responsibilities at Fiba Group companies, Murat Özyeğin serves as Chairman of the Türkiye-U.S. Business Council (TAİK), Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Women on Board Association, a Board Member of Endeavor Türkiye, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Özyeğin University. He previously served as Vice Chairman of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), a member of the Harvard University Global Advisory Council, a member of the Harvard Business School Dean’s Advisory Board, and a Board Member of the Global Relations Forum.

Since 2016, he has served as Honorary Consul of Singapore.

He holds a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Industrial Management and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Murat Özyeğin is the father of three daughters and a son.

Ayşecan Özyeğin Oktay

Ayşecan Özyeğin Oktay earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Duke University. She went on to play an active role in various projects in the Retail Banking Department at Finansbank from 2003 to 2006, and in the Business Development and Strategy Department at Fiba Group from 2006 to 2007. After completing the MBA program at Stanford University in 2009, she rejoined Fiba Group. Before becoming Vice Chairwoman, she served for 10 years as a member of the Boards of Directors of Fiba Group and several of its companies. In 2021, she became Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Nexent Bank, and she also serves as Chairwoman of the Fiba Group ESG Committee.

In addition to her roles at Fiba Group, she leads the Özyeğin family’s social responsibility work as Chairwoman of the Board of the Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV) and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation. She is a member of the TÜSİAD Entrepreneurship and Youth Roundtable, the Ashoka Support Network for social entrepreneurship, the Esas Sosyal Advisory Board, the UN SDSN Türkiye Advisory Board, and the Endeavor Mentor Network. From 2014 to 2018, she also served on the Advisory Council of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mehmet Güleşci

He was born in 1962. After graduating from the Department of Business Administration at Boğaziçi University, he earned a master’s degree in the same department. From 1984 to 1996, he worked at the Istanbul and Boston offices of Ernst & Young and obtained CPA certifications in Türkiye and in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. While a partner in charge at the firm, he joined Finansbank as Deputy General Manager in early 1997 and served as Executive Member of the Board until the end of 2009. In addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Fiba Group, he sits on the boards of the Group’s financial and non-financial investments in Türkiye and abroad.

Yurdaer Kahraman

He is a results-driven and highly accomplished real estate executive with a proven track record of creating long-term value across the entire real estate life cycle. He has extensive experience in acquiring, developing, repositioning, managing, growing, and divesting residential, commercial, retail, office, industrial, and mixed-use real estate portfolios.

He graduated from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany. He is the CEO and a Board Member of Fiba Commercial Properties, a Fiba Group company. Before joining Fiba CP in 2013, he worked for more than 14 years at ECE Projektmanagement GmbH & Co. KG, the German shopping mall development and management company.

He has more than 28 years of experience in commercial real estate, retail, and management in more than 20 countries worldwide (Western, Central, and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and China). Drawing on his extensive experience in international business, he is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies and plans, and for running all leasing, asset management, and commercial activities while closely following new and existing markets and industry trends in different countries. His real estate experience also covers office, hotel, shopping mall, and residential projects.

His native languages are Turkish and German. He also speaks fluent English, French, and Italian.

He is a member of the Advisory Board of ACROSS Magazine, published in Europe; a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI); a Board Member of the Shopping Centers and Investors Association (AYD); a member of the Advisory Board of the Alp Alkaş Retail and Real Estate Center (AA PGM); and a member of the Finberg Advisory Board.

Tahir Demircioğlu

After graduating from TED Ankara College in 1993, he completed a degree in Civil Engineering at Boğaziçi University. After earning a master’s degree at Cornell University, he completed his doctoral studies at Boğaziçi University. Having worked in the banking sector in project and structured finance, credit risk, and mergers and acquisitions finance, he took up his first position in Fiba Group at Fiba Capital in 2008. In addition to managing Fiba Capital, he currently serves on the boards of Fiba Group companies.

Hüsnü M. Özyeğin

He was born in 1944. After graduating from Robert Academy in 1963, Hüsnü M. Özyeğin completed a degree in Civil Engineering at Oregon State University. In 1969, he received his master’s degree from Harvard Business School. He served as a Board Member of Pamukbank from 1974 to 1977, as General Manager and Board Member of Pamukbank from 1977 to 1984, and as Deputy Chairman, Executive Member of the Board, and General Manager of Yapı ve Kredi Bankası from 1984 to 1987.

He founded Finansbank in October 1987 and served as Chairman of the Board of Finansbank A.Ş. from 1987 to 2010. He continues to serve as Chairman of the Board of Fibabanka A.Ş. and is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Özyeğin University and a member of the Harvard Business School Dean’s Advisory Board.
