İnegöl Shopping Mall, owned and managed by Fiba CP, has once again been recognized in Europe for its eco-friendly initiatives implemented through recycling. At the Solal Awards 2025, İnegöl AVM received the Bronze Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility category. With the vision of Fiba CP, the Transformation Story project successfully represented an environmentally and socially conscious shopping mall concept on the international stage.
One of Europe’s most prestigious retail awards, the Solal Awards 2025, presented the honor in Warsaw, Poland. The Transformation Story project, designed with a sustainability-focused approach, caught the attention of the international jury.
During the renovation process, İnegöl AVM recycled approximately 2,000 kilograms of wooden blocks removed from the roof. From this material, 10 benches were designed and placed in the mall for visitors’ use, utilizing 1,000 kilograms of wood. Another 300 kilograms were transformed into a children’s play area with natural materials, while the remaining wood was reserved for future projects. Thanks to this eco-friendly initiative, the cutting of nearly 80 trees was prevented.
Previously, İnegöl AVM had won the Gold Award at the U.S.-based MarCom Awards and the Grand Prize at the European Property Awards with the same project, further proving its sustainability-driven approach on a global scale.
With its open-air concept, diverse brand mix, engaging events for children and adults, and strong campaigns, İnegöl AVM continues to offer much more than shopping to the local community.
Statement from Yurdaer Kahraman, CEO and Board Member of Fiba Commercial Properties:
“The Transformation Story project we implemented at İnegöl AVM is deeply meaningful for us not only in terms of environmental sustainability but also in terms of our goal to create added value for society. We evaluate each of our investments not only by their commercial success but also by the social benefits and sustainability contributions they bring to the region.
At Fiba Commercial Properties, we continue to develop projects like İnegöl AVM that use resources efficiently, are innovative, and establish strong connections with the community. We are shaping the future of the sector not only through our investment and management achievements but also through projects that place environmental and social responsibility at the core.
Being recognized with an award at the Solal Awards, one of Europe’s most prestigious competitions, has been a major source of motivation for us and all our stakeholders. We consider each of our projects to be as valuable as gold and aim to realize investments that will make a global impact.”
