Fiba Commercial Properties, one of Türkiye’s leading commercial real estate investors, held its first introductory meeting following its investment in İnegöl Mall. Speaking at the event, the company’s CEO and Board Member Yurdaer Kahraman said: “We believe in İnegöl’s potential. Our investments in different regions of Türkiye will continue.”
Fiba CP, which operates in commercial real estate with shopping mall, office building, and residential complex investments in four countries, held a special introductory meeting in İnegöl for its latest investment, İnegöl Mall.
Speaking at the meeting, Fiba CP CEO and Board Member Yurdaer Kahraman said: “As a company, we wholeheartedly believe in every investment we make. İnegöl’s potential was one of the most important factors in our decision. We are aware of how valuable a project İnegöl Mall is for the region. In the coming period, we will do our utmost to raise the bar even higher.”
Describing İnegöl Mall as one of Türkiye’s largest shopping malls built around a plaza, Kahraman said: “Built as an impressive architectural example of the shopping trend, İnegöl Mall is one of Türkiye’s largest open-air shopping malls built around a plaza. It is visited by more than 600,000 people a month on average. It is home to many brands, 77% of them domestic. According to an independent survey we conducted in İnegöl, 60% of respondents choose only us when they go to a mall. According to the same survey, 58% of our visitors find the services our center offers good and sufficient. Our aim will be to raise this rate even further. We are very happy to be working on this valuable project with our experienced team.”
Pointing out that İnegöl’s export figures are rising rapidly, Kahraman said: “The İnegöl Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently announced that İnegöl’s foreign trade totaled $1.121 billion last year. With this trade volume, the city ranked 20th. In 2016, İnegöl posted a foreign trade surplus of $433 million, rising to 7th place in Türkiye in this area as well. Its imports rose from $269 million to $344 million. This city of ours, with its considerable potential, is growing and developing with confident steps and becoming ever more valuable to the national economy. As a result, consumer expectations are rising too. Through the field research we are now conducting, we are analyzing what the local people expect and need. We will make our plans for the coming period based on these results. İnegöl is growing. We would be delighted to accompany this growth and be part of it.”
“We Gave the Industry Fresh Motivation”
Explaining that the company spent about eight months on preliminary research and exchanged views with industry representatives before deciding on the İnegöl investment, Kahraman said: “When we make an investment, the product in question has to be sustainable. We care about bringing together the right product, the right location, and the right people. We believe in organic growth.” Pointing out that the İnegöl investment gave the industry fresh motivation, Kahraman said: “At a time when many foreign companies were signaling that they would pull out of the market, we made a major investment by acquiring a mall. With this investment, we gave the industry fresh motivation. We believe wholeheartedly in İnegöl’s potential. We like to add value to the cities we enter, and we will add value to İnegöl as well.”
