Fiba CP Continues Its Growth Through International Investments

Managing leasing and operations for numerous commercial real estate projects in Turkey and abroad, Fiba Commercial Properties (Fiba CP) participated in the 24th Retail Days 2025, held at Haliç Congress Center on May 28–29. Operating in 4 countries, Fiba CP shared its international growth strategy and new investments at the event.

During the Retail Sun Awards ceremony held as part of the event, Yurdaer Kahraman, CEO and Board Member of Fiba CP, was honored with the “Successful Leaders of the Sector” award in recognition of his leadership in guiding Fiba CP’s international achievements.

Expanding in Moldova with Two Major Investments

At the Fiba CP booth, during the traditional cocktail gathering, Kahraman shared:

“With two major investments totaling €250 million, we are initiating a sustainable transformation in Moldova. One of these is a next-generation shopping mall focused on retail and entertainment; the other is a mixed-use project that brings international standards in accommodation and healthcare to the region. Through these projects, we are leaving the signature of Fiba CP.”

Moldova’s Largest Retail and Lifestyle Center on the Way

Kahraman highlighted that Fiba CP’s first project in Moldova will feature 65,000 m² of leasable space, designed by world-renowned architecture firm Chapman Taylor.

“With capacity for up to 170 stores, a 3,500 m² cinema and entertainment area, and parking for 2,500 vehicles, the project will become Moldova’s largest retail and lifestyle center.

Our second project includes Marriott Moxy (short-stay accommodation), Marriott Residence Inn (long-stay accommodation), and the Medpark Medical Center, covering 18,500 m². Together, these two investments reach a total value of approximately €250 million. They will address vital needs in the region with international-standard solutions in health and accommodation.

Development is carried out in partnership with SUMMA Group, with whom we have a longstanding collaboration. Through these projects, we are creating holistic living spaces that support not only commercial value but also social, cultural, and urban development.”

Recognizing Visionary Leadership

At the Retail Sun Awards, Kahraman was celebrated as one of the “Successful Leaders of the Sector” for his visionary leadership in shaping Turkey’s retail and commercial real estate sectors, his sustainability-driven approach, and his role in positioning Fiba CP as a globally recognized brand.

Continuing to Make a Difference in the Sector

Kahraman emphasized Fiba CP’s ongoing impact:

“As Fiba Commercial Properties, we continue to make a difference in the sector by launching innovative projects both in Turkey and abroad. In Turkey, we are proud to have received an award at the Global RLI Awards 2024 with our cultural sustainability-focused social responsibility project at İnegöl AVM.

In Romania, deliveries are ongoing at our 350-unit Select Residence project, and we are working on two new residential projects in Bucharest.

In addition, we are developing a new mixed-use living project in collaboration with Fenix Yapı, where Fiba CP is responsible for leasing.

Our international recognition, including being ranked 39th among Turkish companies abroad, confirms our strong position in global markets and our consistent growth strategy.”

Creating Value Through International Partnerships

Kahraman concluded:

“Fiba CP operates in 4 countries with 11 shopping malls, over 800,000 m² of leasable area, 5 residential complexes, 4 office buildings, 2 cinema complexes, and 1 hotel investment.

With our strong portfolio, we share our international know-how in shopping mall management with other investors and property owners, developing strategic partnerships that create value.

Participating in Retail Days allows us to exchange experiences with sector leaders, address shared challenges, and explore collaborative solutions. This is of great importance for the sector’s future.”
