“Companies That Use Sustainable Strategies Will Survive”

Speaking at the CEO Summit in İnegöl, where the unemployment rate is zero, Fiba Commercial Properties CEO Yurdaer Kahraman said: “Economic shifts should not stand in the way of work. It may not always be obvious who is doing their job well, but in difficult times, companies that manage risk soundly and use sustainable strategies will survive. Now is the time to tell İnegöl’s story properly and promote it.”

Yurdaer Kahraman, CEO and Board Member of Fiba Group company Fiba CP, which made a major investment in the region by acquiring İnegöl Mall at the beginning of last year, attended the İnegöl CEO Summit.

Kahraman was a guest in the “Investment Agenda 2018” session at the event, organized by Capital and Ekonomist magazines in cooperation with İMDER (İnegöl Furniture Manufacturers’ Association), where growth, digitalization, and home retail were discussed.

Turning to the recently launched renovation of İnegöl Mall and the development of the retail industry, Kahraman said: “The questions we are asked most are about the economic climate and investment. We trust the way we work. There will always be those who do their job well and those who do it badly, and those who do it well always stand out. We have always been driven by our mission to be a commercial real estate company that creates, produces, and increases value. As Turkish investors, we need to step forward more and do our part as well as we possibly can.”

Pointing out that unemployment in İnegöl stands at zero, Kahraman said: “This is a very valuable picture. İnegöl is an important location with great potential and a strong economy. We need to tell the outside world more about this strength. At Fiba CP, we have introduced İnegöl to retail brands that had never known it. We will continue to promote it and add value. We need to tell İnegöl’s story more loudly.”

Noting that the company values education and speed, Kahraman said: “We believe it is worthwhile to explore new channels both in Türkiye and abroad. As investors, we are convinced that we need to pursue new ventures. I believe the renovation investment we recently started in İnegöl has also given other companies confidence. At Fiba CP, we will continue our investments in Anatolia and abroad. We want to acquire new shopping malls, and our work on this is ongoing. Through our investments abroad, in countries such as Moldova, Romania, and China, we also make room for many brands from Türkiye. We attach great importance to training qualified people for the retail and commercial real estate industries and to building the qualified workforce the industry needs. We reinforce this commitment to education through Özyeğin University, training our young people. We send them abroad for training so they can work in different positions. In this way we add something to Türkiye, and Türkiye wins.”
